We are a family owned business and this year will be joined our son Jesse and his fiance, Lisa, who will be further developing the bio-diversity of our ranch. All of our lavender is estate grown. Our terrain and climate here in the Napa Valley make this an ideal environment for plants native to the hot, dry summers and cool wet winters of the Mediterranean. These exquisite conditions enhance the quality of the essential oil of lavender. Most of our lavender is the lavendin cultivar Grosso, a hybrid of English lavender and spike lavender. In addition, we grow the cultivar Provence and are experimenting with Buena Vista, an English lavender. We also grow chardonnay and sangiovese grapes, which are made into wines (with native yeasts) by Sky Saddle Winery.
